Terms of Use
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING QRONE
- About these terms
These terms tell you the rules for using the Qrone service available online and via the Qrone App (Service). We use some capitalised terms in these terms. Please also use the Glossary to understand the meaning of some of these terms.
- Who we are and how to contact us
The Service is provided by Qrone Technologies Limited registered in the UK (11922543) (Qrone, us or we). Our contact details can be found at Contact Us.
By using the Service you accept these terms
By creating an account with the Service you become a Member of the Service. If you have not chosen to create an account, you may access certain features of the Service as a Visitor. In each case, by using or accessing the Service you are entering a contract with Qrone based on these terms of use and confirming that you agree to comply with them.
If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the Service.
You must be 18 or over to accept these terms and use the Service.
- There are other terms that may apply to you
These terms refer to the following additional terms, which also apply to your use of the Service:
- Our Privacy Policy which sets out how we may use your personal information.
- Our Cookie Policy which sets out information about the cookies on the Service.
- We may make changes to these terms
We amend these terms from time to time. We last updated these terms on 9 June 2023. If you don’t agree with any changes, you can close your account. Your continued use of the Service after any updates to these terms means you have accepted the updated terms.
- How Qrone works
Qrone is a service which enables users to share their details with contacts by sharing a link or QR code or via a Qrone smart card provided by us (Qrone Card). Once you have added contact details to the Service they will be stored and synced automatically when you or your contacts update their details.
- Creating and sharing profiles
You can create profiles on the Service to share with your contacts which include contact details and other information such as your job role and company name (Profiles). You can create as many Profiles as you like, designate them as personal or business and choose which Profiles to share with your different contacts.
- Your account and keeping it safe
You may create as many Profiles as you wish but you may only have one account and this must be in your real name and use accurate and valid information. Creating an account with false information is in breach of these terms, including registering accounts for persons under the age of 18.
You must keep your username, password or any other piece of information you use as part of our security procedures, including any Qrone Card, secure. You must treat such information as confidential and must not disclose it to any third party (save you can share your contact details via your Qrone Card). If you lose your Qrone Card anyone that uses it may have access to your Profiles (but for the avoidance of doubt, not access to your connections).
We have the right to disable any username or password at any time, if in our reasonable opinion you have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these terms of use.
If you know or suspect that anyone other than you knows your username or password, or you have lost your Qrone Card or believe it has been stolen, you must promptly notify us at Contact Us.
We are giving you personally the right to use the Service as set out below. You may not transfer access to any third party. If you sell any device on which the Qrone app is installed, you must remove the Qrone app from it.
- Notices and Messages
We may send you notices or messages through the Service or to your contact information. You must make sure your contact information is up to date for this purpose.
- How you may use the Service
You agree that you will:
- not rent, lease, sub-license, loan, provide, or otherwise make available the Service in any form, in whole or in part to any person without prior written consent from us;
